Share a Love of History and Perfectly Paired Food and Wine

Ditch the flowers, chocolate, and teddy bears this Valentine’s Day. Exchange the Hallmark cards for unforgettable real life hallmark memories. Sip the finest wines. Savor expertly prepared meals of the highest quality ingredients. And feel the magic of a destination steeped in historic significance. We’ll provide the elements. The romance is up to you.

Your indulgent getaway begins with a Valentine’s Day check-in at Marriott’s Manor Club at Ford’s Colony. Then enjoy a welcome dinner with fellow Owners at Cuchon on 2nd, renowned as a top choice for local fine dining. Immerse yourself in a symphony of flavors as each course unfolds, complimented by the distinct character of Cochon’s finest vintages.

On Day 2 you’ll head to veteran-owned Gauthier Vineyard. Tour the wine estate to hear some interesting facts “through the grapevine.” Admire the sprawling and majestic vineyard. Taste their superb Norton grape varietal. Then see how it pairs with a delicious on-site lunch.

Day 3 begins with brunch at Waypoint Seafood and Grill. Start your day with a classic breakfast favorite like a waffle, omelet, or benedict along with the brunch staples of bloody Marys and mimosas. You’ll see why Waypoint has made its mark in the area as a culinary destination that celebrates Chesapeake ingredients, superb flavor combinations and quality service.

Spend the rest of your day exploring Colonial Williamsburg on your own. You’ll receive a ticket to use at your discretion over 3 consecutive days. Learn about 18th century living through immersive and authentic programs and presentations. Tour the buildings, see recreated homes, and speak with the actors and learn about life in old America. The area encompasses 301 acres of restored properties and reenactors showing what life was like during the founding of the United States.
