EVENT DETAILS

The World Is Your Oyster

Dive into some of the best dishes in the sea. The annual Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival is a local favorite tradition that’s been going strong for 20 years. Going beyond just celebrating seafood, this festival is an invitation to experience the soul of Southern food, hospitality, and culture.

Your claw-some getaway begins with check-in at Marriott’s Barony Beach Club, followed by transportation to the Coastal Discovery Museum for one of the festival’s most popular events — Pig Pickin’ & Oyster Roast. The chefs and pitmasters prepare and serve fresh local oysters and flavorful grilled meats. Quench your thirst with craft beers, wine, and cocktails. You’ll enjoy early entry and all you can eat and drink.

On Day 2 you’ll find yourself back at the seafood festival that afternoon. Wander the grounds at your leisure. You’ll find unique activities and live entertainment at every turn. Your ticket includes access to celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, the wine tasting tent, and the Gullah Celebration Village. In its 30th year, this special exhibit showcases the rich culture and history of the native Gullah Geechee people through authentic crafts, cuisine, and music. Later, gather with fellow Owners at ELA’S On the Water. Its waterfront location offers a sophisticated atmosphere with stunning views of Shelter Cove Harbour as you dine on contemporary fare and curated drinks.

Day 3 begins with a waterfront brunch at Benny’s Coastal Kitchen. Indulge in a select menu of choices that highlight this local eatery’s penchant for high-quality dishes that capture what you love most about both breakfast and lunch. You’ll also have your choice of a bloody mary or mimosa and dine with a full view of Skull Creek. While the name of this waterway is intriguing, it does no justice to the breathtaking beauty that is so unique to the Lowcountry.
